DESCRIPTION OF THE CALL
This open call invites participants to join a collective process focussed on sound experiments. The project is a creative and methodological process, guided by the artist Jeferson d’Andrade. Following the idea of “Vivarium” (habitat), the group will develop and experiment together on different aspects of silence and noise as well as reflect on ways of using the mouth as a political tool.

Within the workshop series, an audio archive will be produced and performative practices, as well as sound mapping will be applied. In the first phase, three workshops will be held by Jeferson d’Andrade, Frederika Tsai and Mahmoud Ismaeli, each consisting of four units. After a short summer break, the project will be continued in a second phase. Participation in all sessions is required.

At the end of the project, the audio material will be edited and a collective sound installation will be developed and exhibited. There will also be a small publication about the project and a cassette with the musical material.

The program will be held in English and German.

Any questions about the project, please send to noisevivarium@protonmail.com
