Artist: Melanie Rivera Flores (Puerto Rico)
Melanie Rivera Flores ( San Juan, P.R., 1991) has a Bachelors Degree in Diseño Industrial, minoring in Scultpure, at the School of Fine Arts and Design of Puerto Rico (2015). She’s exhibited collectively in “Cosas” (2014), ”La Muestra Nacional” (2015), both celebrated in the Old Arsenal of the Spanish Marine coordinated by the Institute of Puertorican Culture and “Tres Vertientes” (2016) en colaboración con las galerías 20-20 y El Lobi, San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is currently based in Berlin studying her Masters Degree in Arts at the Weißensee Kunshochshule.
Collaborator: Caique Tizzi
Caique Tizzi (geb. 1984, BR) lives and works in Berlin. Tizzi is an artist, curator and co-founder of Agora Collective, where he directs from 2015-2018 the Berlin component of the Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme (CAPP), co-funded by Creative Europe. Tizzi is interested in the development of social art practices, experimental methods of group work and interdisciplinary processes. The focus of his practice revolves around an artistic approach to food, where the kitchen becomes part a studio, part a laboratory and ideas around collaboration, self-organisation and sustainability are put into place. He has collaborated and contribute with his work for organisations like the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Martin Gropius Bau, Kunsthalle Osnabrück, Medialab Prado Madrid, Goethe Institut Kuala Lumpur amongst others.
