Artist: Pêdra Costa (Brazil)

Pêdra Costa (1978) is a Brazilian Performance Artist and Anthropologist based in Berlin and working with queer artists internationally. Her work is informed by the aesthetics of post-porn and an investigation about anti-colonial concepts. Pêdra Costa works with her body, presenting Performance Art, making videos and writing, using complex and fragmented epistemologies from queer communities, being contaminated by knowledge almost completely destroyed by the colonial project and remembering radical caring against the lack of opportunities of living. S/he engages the political aesthetics of post-porn and anti-colonial strategies. S/he faces failure every day, transforming failure into a creative force, in connection with mixed and forgotten ancestral ties.

Ana María Millán (Cali, Colombia). The work of Ana María Millán draws relationships between policies of animation, performativity, gender and subcultures. She has developed a series of role plays that end in videos or animations. She is a co-founder of the artist collective Helena Producciones with whom her works actively building platforms according to the socioeconomic conditions of the specific contexts. Two of the group’s most important projects are the Cali Performance Festival and the Mobile School of Knowledge.
